The Mouths of Babes

My daughter seems to have sounded the death knell for rock's aging bad boys, the The Rolling Stones. As Mick Jagger pranced about during the Super Bowl halftime show, she became quite agitated.

"Take them away!" she shouted. "I don't like the Wiggles! I don't want the Wiggles!"

Sorry, guys.

That's brilliant!

They felt like tired shadows. It was painful. Made me think that part of aging gracefully is not trying to pretend to be something you're not. (say, 20 when you're 60-something). I can see Sting and U2 aging well. But the Stones are doing the same songs, so there's a direct comarison.

No more Wiggles, indeed.
