Domestic Bliss; Or, Scenes from Real Life

Unedited

Mama Dorcasina and her adorable daughter are cozied up in bed, after reading a story. The lights are out.

Mama Dorcasina, lovingly: "I love you, Babygirl. Do you love me?"

Resounding silence.

Mama Dorcasina, somewhat plaintively: "Do you love your Mama?"
Thinking, I know better than to set myself up for this....

Long, long silence.

Darling Daughter: "Ummmm......I'm eating my hair."

LOL. PK's response to questions of that nature is usually "Bad Mama!"

I've seen your comments at snickollet, but it's nice to see you 'back'!

Great to know that on a scale of hair vs mommy, hair wins! ;-)

LOL. Once when I asked Pistola this very same question, she sighed and said, "Yeah, sure."

Oh the joys of this age. :)

I wouldn't dare to ask.

I'm happy you're back again.

I've appreciated your comments at my blog, but it's nice to see a new post at yours.

I clearly remember having a long hair-chewing phase during which NOTHING seemed more important. Yikes. Guess it's good to know that other kids go through that, too.

Not what you need right now, I know. I guess it's better than "whatever, Mom", which is what a friend's daughter said when asked.
