I have never, never felt more proud of my fellow Americans than I am today, in light of last night.Jesse Jackson and John Lewis brought me to tears.
It's been too, too long coming.
How I wish my husband were here to celebrate with me.

I agree wholeheartedly! I was laying in bed and tears were just flowing when it was announced, that CNN just panned the different crowds all over the country, all over the world in fact, and were silently just rolling and not commenting for what seemed like minutes was great to me.
I was proud to be an American and a Virginian at that moment more so than I have been in a very long time.
