Am I nuts?
Two new classes for fall; will I never learn? The third prep is the survey course I teach pretty much every term, which I revamped this semester and am reasonably happy with...although I'm not pleased with how I timed the various student assignments this term at ALL (too late, too close together, too overlapping, too....)But then, next spring...sabbatical; the most beautiful word in the English language, I think.

yeah for you, next spring should be wonderful:) Congrats on that.
Use the future sabbatical as the "happy place" to which you go in your mind when prepping for and teaching the two new classes. I have two new classes this semester and I feel like I'm losing my damn mind. The only thing that keeps me going is summer. I'm sure, though, that you're much more prepared and organized than I am, so you probably won't struggle as much as I am.
You academics earn that sabbatical, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. How nice that it will come in the spring!
